Applicable use types

A category can apply to several types. Business categories are available for every registered business.

Active

Inactive entries remain on existing records. They are unavailable for new assignments. An inactive account remains selectable for importing historical statements.

Unspecified is always available and cannot be edited or deactivated. Saved rows using it remain unfinished. Categories describe transactions; tax reporting assignments can be added later.
